AXE IMMOBILIER DELIVERS THE MARGUERITE BOUCICAUT FOLLOW-UP CARE AND REHABILITATION CENTRE TO THE FRENCH RED CROSS

Axe Immobilier has built the Marguerite Boucicaut follow-up care and rehabilitation centre for the French Red Cross, located in Chalon-sur-Saône, close to the William Morey hospital.

With a floor area of 9,570 sq m, the Marguerite Boucicaut follow-up care and rehabilitation centre has a capacity of 131 beds spread over ground and 3 upper floors. It has neurology, cardiology, pneumology and respiratory departments. 94 single and double rooms complete the facility.

Operated by the French Red Cross under a 40-year pre-letting agreement, the latter sold the real estate of the follow-up care and rehabilitation centre to the Cofinimmo group in 2018, under a forward-funding sale agreement, and then signed a 40-year construction lease with the latter, in return for a fee. At the end of the construction lease and pre-letting agreement, the follow-up care and rehabilitation centre will be fully handed over to the French Red Cross.

Designed by the architect Jean Amoyal, the Marguerite Boucicaut follow-up care and rehabilitation centre is currently the largest rehabilitation centre in Burgundy in terms of number of beds.

The follow-up care and rehabilitation centre has been awarded NF HQE certification for tertiary buildings in 2008.
